I love to learn and continue taking classes. The most recent was held at the Art Academy School, learning portraits in the classical style. My first project was the asian dragon mask, see below. Since we all enjoy lion dances and other good luck icons, I chose this image.
My self portrait was next. This is the first portrait under supervision by a professional artist. I learned a lot about the subtle touches with thinned down paint. The instructor said, enough “it works”, so I stopped. I have to try another project to feel I’ve got the hang of it.
